i met kayo on the subway- i noticed her adorable high-waited shorts {not something most people should attempt to pull off!} her beautifully-made... but cheeky... green suitcase, and most of all her amazing crochet fedora {AND crochet suspenders!} so we got to talking and it turns out kayo has her own company making crochet hats that are actually well-shaped {and stylish- not a word often used to describe a crochet hat, i admit.} so check out her website: kalidoscopio
a section from a dress i made as part of my summer "muslin" project... the roses are iron-ons made from this rose collage: the hockey team: i love the stripes! a plastic beaded bag from the 60s {probably?} i like the mix of industrial {heat-applied plastic beads} and the dainty botanical print. a letter dated 1860... a blend of so many influences: printed "lace" tee & triped silk skirt
Latin palimpsestus, from Greek palimpsēstos scraped again, from palin + psēn to rub, scrape; akin to Sanskrit psāti, babhasti he chews

this is my good friend and co-worker (a wildly talented prop-stylist/ painter extraordinaire) tracy. i'd like to point out that she is wearing a classic men's shirt worn upside down... genius or what?!
it's no secret that i love white things. so i made this sort of necklace thing out of all this white stuff from the flea market. pins, buttons, beads, lace... all my happiest things
lisa and i work together and she is a daily style inspiration. among many other creative projects, lisa is the stylist at madewell. check out her handiwork here.
flea markets make me all excited. these things were found at stephanie & john's lovely booth at the fort green flea market. here are links to their blog and website.
